Dear Nature Book Launch - Nottingham Contemporary

Beam Editions returned to Nottingham Contemporary on Tuesday April 4th for the official book launch of Dear Nature by John Newling.

Nottingham Contemporary hosted a major show of Newling’s work in 2013- Ecologies of Value which was both new work and survey of the last 40 years.

The book launch event included ten readings by artists and members of the local community engaged in someway in sustainability, the main themes of the work.

Sarah Shalgoski curator of the Mead Gallery and Warwick Art Centre, kindly hosted a live interview with the artist which we have video and will be releasing on the Beam Channel soon alongside a series of readings.

We have an exciting new book planned with Newing for his major show at the Icon Gallery in 2020. More details to be announced soon.
